Watch This

OK. Meltdown over. After singing at the top of my lungs to Angela Johnson on the way home last night (windows up of course), and reading the nice comments from yesterday's post, I got up this morning with some serious sewing mojo and fixed my shirt before work.

It turned out OK and it got me thinking on how far I've come in my sewing. Tonight I dug up some old sewing pics from a couple of years ago when I got back into sewing. When I first started out I was just making things for the pleasure of it, not caring about "proper procedure" or if I messed up. I had no clue about fitting, pre-treating fabric, how to finish seams, make a proper hem, etc... Now two years later, I'm serging, studying sewing books and reading pattern reviews almost every day so I can learn as much as I can. From now on instead of kicking myself when I mess up, I will pick up, dust off and be proud of the progress and thankful for the learning experience!
