Back to Black

Due to an overwhelming consensus from the "community" (ie kiddo, sisters, hubby, etc) I decided to recolor my hair.

Goodbye Herbal Essences whatever this color turned out to be from months back

Hello Miss Clairol black velvet.

I guess I like it. I prefer quirky, offbeat color, but according to the hair police family I look more natural (says kiddo) and professional (says hubby)

What do they know - lol!

OMG, I am always behind my mom to keep her dread jet black, it looks so rich like that. You hair looks beautiful and she wears her beads just like you, but red, green and yellow

Hmmm... gotta say, the darker color really frames your face and makes your eyes just shine. It's real attractive.
When I was in college I went through all kinds of different hair colors (it's naturally a boring dark brown). My Mom will never let me forget dyeing my hair orange. I told her it was "Burnished Copper"... but she was right; it was orange. Glad she never saw it when it was "Midnight Orchid".

Very pretty. I personally liked the off beat color, but you have such a pretty face that both look good.

Thanks for comments ladies!!!

I thought the black was too harsh, but I'm getting used to it.

P.S. the "Midnight Orchid" sounds xtra cool!

I like change off and on. Both colors suits you but it's true that black looks more professional if you're not a full time artist ;o)

I love your newly dyed locs. My girls keep telling me to dye mine again and I just don't know if I want to especially since I have so much gray in the front.
