Vogue 1247 Rachel Comey

The Original:
Rachel Comey Spring 2010

I'd never heard of Rachel Comey until she started making patterns for Vogue. I liked what was being released  (I own them all now) so I researched her past collections to see if anything moved me. Honestly, the Vogue patterns look 100x better than her runway fashion, it could be because of the models. I dont mind skinny models at all, but her models are HIDEOUS!!! They really take away from the clothes.

Top: Vogue 1247, Fabric: Polyester peachskin from Joann's (clearance)
Pants: Butterick 5539, Fabric: Chocolate Poly/Rayon/Lycra Ponte from Joann's
Shoes: Kohl's (old)

Nothing is really jumping out at me from her Fall 2010 so I hope they skip that set and jump right into Spring 2011 (sidenote, her models were much better!)

Your top is inspirational! I'm sitting here just reading the blogs instead of sewing up some tops. You make me at least want to dig around in my stash. Just btw, I think gold is often a difficult color to wear. YOU look great in it!

I bought this pattern on Saturday after seeing your review. Can't wait to give it a try.
