Saturday Love

I don't feel like a sell out anymore for getting a new machine. I love my new Singer and I will get much use out of it!

I am currently working on another button down, simplicity 4112 and my buttonholes are *near perfect* without any adjustments on the machine. I even got the courage to machine sew the buttons on.

oh.my.gosh.

I was totally wowed. I went on and on (and on) to hubby about it and he just looked at me like I was a nut. He says, "You never talked to me about this kind of stuff before." I took the hint and hushed.

Today though, I am going to the PR meetup at A Fabric Place in Baltimore. I'm sew excited (hardy har-har). I get to talk sewing without getting the blank stare.

I'm wearing another piece I made with the new machine (ok, this was mostly serged) Simplicity 2883. Here is the review

I am so jealous!!! I have to work today and I can't come to the meet up :( I had never been to A Fabric Place until my dad introduced me to it last week after taking his girlfriend there for some lace she wants to have put on her gown. We had a blast and the lady gave the girls candy so of course they would rather go there than Joann's any day LOL!
I'm loving the dress! I bore people all the time talking about my machine too.

Don't you just love the blank stare? I get it from the BF all the time - and he's a computer geek who goes completely blank behind the eyes when he's writing code in his head, but he doesn't understand the sewing daze. I think he was ready to turn the hose on me Saturday. Somehow he didn't expect me to come home from a whole day of talking sewing with any kind of a buzz. Silly man.

Congrats on the new machine. I'm sure you'll be spending lots of quality time together.
