(hey Tracey, I had to use an old laptop from work to watch the vid)
I have a couple of more lessons to watch (& rewatch) but eventually I'll be a full blown crocheter and soon ready to try a pattern.
yay.

I'm a little bittersweet about it. do you understand how long it took me to understand a flipping single crochet and double crochet??? I started showing kiddo and after my second stitch she grabbed my hook and yarn and went at it FIERCE. Had the nerve to tell me shhh when I tried to keep explaining. I *heart* that girl tho.

Go girl go lol.
I used to know how to crochet (made baby blankets for my kids) but I can NOT seem to pick it up again!!! lol
I'm glad you were able to get your hands on an old laptop (although you can probably get one on eBay for about three bucks these days).
Well just think, once you've learned the single and double crochet stitches you know just about all you need to know to become an excellent and gifted crocheter. You will as good as Kiddos before you know it. Good job.
Good for Kiddo--and you, too. My own daughter could knit backwards and forwards before I knew what was happening. It's amazing how quick their minds (and fingers) are.
I'll be watching for your first crochet project from a pattern!
