This is "major" proof that your vote does count. Furthermore, when you believe in yourself and work hard towards your goal and do not quit no matter what happens, it will come to fruition. This is one of the many examples and I personally believe that one day America would have a black president but I did not know it would have happen in my lifetime. May God Bless Barack Obama and his family. :)

Barack Obama does not love this country. His wife thinks it is "downright" mean. In about 3 years, I will be the one driving the car that has the bumper sticker that says, "Don't blame me, I voted for McCain." I also am appalled this country voted in a man who thinks it is okay to deny children babies who survived be murdered inside the womb basic health care. Don't give me the capital punishment argument because those people have legal rights and appeals---these unborn human beings do not. Just wait, next it will be your grandmother in the nursing home who they want to euthanize.

What did Michelle say that they took out of context and slammed her for...I am proud to be an American again?

Hell yes I am.

When I see this video clip of Obama, it reminds me of a story from yesterday's newspaper from one our local, prominent black citizens. He's probably around 65 and has to rethink some of his perspective on life. He grew up in the Poconos and life wasn't easy for blacks in the '50's and 60's, even early '70's. A lot of homegrown racism, although it has greatly dissipated. Probably with the influx of NY and NJ people in our area now.

The joke his family had when he was a young boy was, "Work hard, really hard, and maybe someday you can become President." They truly considered it a joke because of their skin color and thought it impossible, at least in their lifetime. Now he said he has to re-evaluate some of his own thoughts about life in general because a black man has, indeed, been elected as President.

This comment has nothing to do with politics as I see that someone has decided to order up up some ugly in here. (so sad) On a much lighter note, check out http://www.jewelmagonline.com/
I thumbed through the latest issue at the grocery store. Funny, I was going to start asking people did they know of an African American fashion magazine. I think this may be it. Only one thing, it's presently a quarterly publication however, it is $9.95 for 1 year subscription(4 issues) and $16.95 for 2 years(8 issues). It was $4.50 per issue at the supermarket. I could've sworn it was $9.95 for 1 yr subscription and $12.95 for 2 yrs. at the supermarket (on the little subscription card postcard). Anyway, check it out. I saw it at a Foodlion in the magazine aisle.

I have seen so many sewing blogs posting comments about politics and Obama. It is really making me tire! I want to read about people sewing, maybe trying to copy Michelle Obama's dress or even Palins wardrobre who has more sense of style.
