New Cuz
We've welcomed a new precious cousin this week and here was her welcome gift. The "pattern" was Martha Stewart's Simple Baby Quilt. Instead of quilting rows I added applique. My first go at applique was an interesting experience, but I made it work and I'm proud of it!
Kiddo #2
"Deuce" - was supposed to be the football name that I picked out for new baby (I chose Deuce because he's kiddo #2 and will be named after his dad.) But now a certain someone in the family has everyone calling him a baby dino - including me - lol!Kiddo #2
So here is his quilt:
I used a mini quilt kit from Joann's, super easy! The instructions advised exactly how to cut & construct in very simple terms.
I had to have this because the colors are SO VIVID (flash free pic)A floor blankie. Easy as pie. A yard of fleece with blanket binding.

For kiddo, I put toiletry organizer in her room since that is our latest "issue" with her.I had to have this because the colors are SO VIVID (flash free pic)A floor blankie. Easy as pie. A yard of fleece with blanket binding.

Another Martha Stewart Project called the Terry Cloth Caddy. I made it from a Target beach towel, an old curtain rod and some cheap ribbon from the stash. The other side of the closet has a shoe caddy so I just used those hooks to hang the towel caddy. SO now she'd better NOT lose her deodorant, lotion, swimming goggles, etc...
Up next is McCall's 5814...

Pretty pretty!! OH and good luck w the McCalls pattern - I never seem to have any luck!
I am so NOT a quilter but will check out that baby quilt info. I'm going to be a great aunt in a week or so and want to make something nice for my niece's baby.
All of the items look great. You have given me ideas. My girlfriends baby is due in April and I want to create a gift basket with cute items.
Very nice quilts I am going to have to try those.
