It's been a month for my "trial run" back into blogging and let me just say...I got it back!! Blogging mojo that is. I'm feeling really good about it.
I would like to send a
mega shout out to everyone who takes the time to comment and look at anything I post! It feels good to be able to share my ideas and maybe send a little creativity spark because I get
so much enrichment and inspiration from reading blogs.
During my "break" from updating this blog I considered just letting it go. Time management was
is an issue, as was motivation. My purpose for blogging is not monetary, I don't want to be a superstar, I don't want to teach people to sew... so what's the point? I need a creative outlet. That's all. Just like so many others I follow. I never stopped sewing/crafting but I did notice that the output was a little boring. I think putting it "out there" helps me kick up the creativity mojo.
One day, I was in my inspiration folder on the computer, and I thought, "Maybe, I should be sharing this!" Duh. So yea, I'm
really back.

Welcome back!! I totally agree with you. Sometimes when I read other's blogs I feel, I should contribute more, add a bit more pizzazz to my posts. But I really don't want to. I sew/craft for the pleasure of it, not for the kudos. I enjoy sharing what I do when I feel like it. There are so many others who do a wonderful job of sharing techniques-many of which I've added to my bag of tricks-but I have enough pressure in my life that I don't need to add anymore. Again, I am glad you decided to keep your blog alive as I really enjoy your posts.

Thanks for the comments!! So glad to know someone (whom I totally admire) is feeling the same way!
I admit, sometimes blogging can be a chore. I feel like I don't respond enough to the blogs I read. Blogging is the sewing conversations I can't have with my non-sewing friends. I guess I need to learn to blog without guilt!
I know!!! I to feel like I don't comment enough on other blogs. I am trying to do it more though. In "real life" I don't talk much unless I have to, lol.
I wish I had more sewing friends close by. My family doesn't "get it" :)
I totally understand! For me sometimes I feel the need to get back to reality. Like when when I start taking about my internet buddies more than mt real life friends lol.
I appreciate the time you spend blogging and sharing!
Welcome back! Don't think because people like me don't always comment that we're not reading your blog. I really like to see what others are creating because it helps me. Especially when the fitting issues are driving me crazy.
YES, please share, share, and share some more! Plenty of times I learn of certain patterns by other bloggers. However; I myself can't seem to get it together for with my blog page but I am greatful for you all who do share. The many different styles from around the world is truly Ripping the Runway! Continue to be CREATIVE and I look forward to seeing your next CREATION :)
I'm glad. You have a unique voice that was missing in the sewing/blogging community. As for the content of your blog, it should be what works for you...whatever you decide I'll be on the sidelines cheering you on!
I've been mulling this over myself for a while - I often feel inadequate, because other bloggers are so much more talented, have better photos, have better content, and it makes me wonder whether I should bother to blog at all. I haven't figured it out for myself, but welcome back.
Welcome back!!! I totally agree with you.
Welcome back and happy mothers day!
Thank you for the comments & encouragement. They mean a lot!!!
I'm loving the pics of your outfits and happy to know I'll get to see more!
I take a break from blogging now and then when i find myself spending more time looking at other peoples creative projects than working on my own. but i do love the internet sewing community so much that I can't stay away!
Lovely Skirt! And we are so glad that you are back!
Hi, I just found your blob and am glad I did. I consider your "real" when it comes to blogging. It is really nice to see "real" pics, "real" challenges and "real" pointers. Meaning, you just shot out the blog to get the point to us. I waste soooo much time trying to make sure the content was right or that the pictures are perfect to the point that they never make to the blog. Go figure right?!?! Thanks for your effort...
Andrea
